Alike Apple, the global music streaming app Spotify, launches a separate section for DJ mixes.
In the very first week of October, the new Spotify catalog got launched with the mixes of artists like Adam Beyer and Noisia, accompanied by the existing mix contents.
Presently this new service by Spotify is operating in eight markets: the UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand. However, as per official reports, Spotify is planning on expanding its reach in near future.
This announcement by Spotify represents a potential new revenue stream for creatives. A lot of questions regarding the wider streaming model have been raised before Spotify. Also, a recent UK study found that only 0.4% of the artists are able to make a living out of streaming.
