Miley Cyrus hosted her annual NBC special, Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party, on December 31 as part of the network’s holiday programming.
During the show, she was joined by her godmother, Dolly Parton, for a series of duets. They performed Miley’s hit “Wrecking Ball,” as well as a mashup of Parton’s classic “I Will Always Love You” and “Jolene.” The duo also covered Patsy Cline’s “Walkin’ After Midnight” and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll.” In addition to these performances, Miley was joined by David Byrne for renditions of his song “Everybody’s Coming to My House” and David Bowie’s hit “Let’s Dance.” Miley’s latest album, Plastic Hearts, was released in 2020.
