Kamala Harris Supports Independent Record Stores During Small Business Week

sufflemusicmagazineMay 12, 2023May 12, 2023

Vice President Kamala Harris is showing her support for small businesses during Small Business Week by promoting the record store industry. In a recent Instagram video, Harris can be seen leaving Home Rule Records in Washington, D.C. and showcasing her new purchases, including records by jazz legends Charlie Mingus, Roy Ayers, and Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Harris is clearly a music lover, as she recently released a Spotify playlist featuring African music from her travels across Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia. It’s great to see a political figure using their platform to support local businesses and highlight the power of music to connect people across cultures.
