Full Bucket Music’s DrumTraqs is a software recreation of the classic Sequential Circuits Drumtraks drum machine from 1983. This plugin brings the iconic sound and sequencing methods of vintage hardware right into your DAW. It’s an excellent tool for producers looking to add authentic 80s drum machine sounds to their tracks, especially those who appreciate the charm of hardware limitations while working in a digital environment.
Personal Review
Full Bucket Music captures the essence of vintage gear in their plugins well, and DrumTraqs is no exception. The plugin is incredibly lightweight regarding CPU usage and download size, yet it still manages to provide an authentic sound virtually identical to the original drum machine. Sequencing drums the old-school way within DrumTraqs makes me feel creative. I don’t think the modern DAWs piano roll could help me achieve such a groove.
