The renowned DJ KSHMR hinted towards a possible collab between him and the famous “Gully Boy” Divine, and it may be coming sooner than expected.
KSHMR on the 2nd of Feb tweeted about how he thinks Divine is the number 1 artist for him right now. Later under that same thread, we can see divine tweeting “Let’s release the song already broski!”
KSHMR, an Indian-American songwriter, DJ and record producer, be it his stage name or his singles or even his own sublabel Dharma under Spinnin Records, he has never hesitated from showing off his Indian roots. His logo, artist name, and tracks like “Delhi”, “Jammu”, “Kashmir”, “Bazaar”, “Dharma” and his EP “Paradesi” are based on and/or inspired by his half Kashmiri ethnic descent.
Divine, an Indian Rapper from the Suburbs of Andheri whose claim to fame was his critically acclaimed song “Yeh Mera Bombay” has made a mark for himself in the Indian Hip-Hop scene. On 12 December 2020, Divine became the first Indian rapper to be featured on Spotify Times Square billboard in New York City for his album Punya Paap, which had claimed the top spot on Apple Music India.
This much-awaited collab has fans on the edge of their seats and rightfully so, KSHMR’s Music and Divine’s absolutely divine lyrics are all the ingredients that are needed for an amazing song. If this tweet is anything to go by, we should be expecting a banger coming our way, and we’re all up for it.
